What book am I?

You’re Watership Down! by Richard Adams Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you’re actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You’d be recognized as such if you weren’t always talking about talking rabbits. ...

Happy Birthday, Tom Petty!

…and me. :) I spent the day working with my department to launch three redesigned sites and a new search. So, in case anyone is wondering why I haven’t been posting much lately… :| However, the best part was coming home to my wife, who took me out to dinner and gave me presents, despite my insistence that I wasn’t really planning to celebrate it this year. It’s sometimes good when you get ignored. :) ...

Jackie Manuel to NBADL

Jackie Manuel will be expanding the posse to Fayetteville, NC. He has signed to play for the National Basketball Association Development League’s Fayetteville Patriots, as has Wake Forest’s Taron Downey. Good going, Jackie! :) (Since he’s so close, maybe he can stop by Chapel Hill and teach the new UNC players how to play defense.)

McCain vs. Taft

Ohio Governor Bob Taft has to be wondering about his luck. His approval rating goes down to 15%…probably due to episodes such as this. And then a popular Senator from Arizona stops by his state and declares that he would resign if he had those poll numbers. :)

Voyager I still leaving Solar System

Good Question

Why Am I (Still) A Republican? I’ve been wondering that about myself, recently. Not so much whether I am a Republican. I switched parties a while back to have some choice in local elections. However, I grew up Republican, and I’m amazed at the capacity of this administration to make that seem puzzling and embarrassing at the same time. :(

Which Legionnaire Am I?

Update: I’m getting rid of the picture. images.quizilla.com seems to be working really slow right now. Here’s the text: You’re Querl Dox, Brainiac 5! You’re smart and you know it. Somewhat smug. You treasure work and don’t always maintain friends well. You either synch with people or you don’t. Analytical. Which Legionnaire are you? brought to you by Quizilla Unfortunately, it asks for a fair amount of knowledge concerning the Legion of Super-Heroes, which has to be hard, given the fact the title has been relaunched a few times. I think I preferred the Legion of Substitute Heroes. :) ...
